The Von der Heydt-Museum Wuppertal is located in the pedestrian zone of the Elberfeld district. It can be reached in about five minutes on foot from the main train station (DB and S-Bahn) and the “Hauptbahnhof (Döppersberg)” suspension railway stop.

The Von der Heydt Museum is committed to providing barrier-free access for all visitors. There is a side entrance to the left of the main entrance, which provides access for people with limited mobility. Ramps and lifts lead to most exhibition areas and the studio, with a few exceptions on the mezzanine level.
With the assistance of museum staff, all exhibition areas on the mezzanine are also accessible to visitors with limited mobility and visitors with strollers. Please do not hesitate to ask the staff at the ticket office or cloakroom if you need assistance.
Seating is available in the exhibitions and portable folding stools are available on the ground floor. Two wheelchairs are available to borrow by prior reservation only (telephone 0202/563-6231). A barrier-free restroom is located on the first floor.
Strollers are permitted in the exhibitions and barrier-free access can be used. Further information on inclusive offerings is available from the Art Education Department on (telephone 0202 563 6630).
